Why hunting and fishing is necessary
One of the many reasons is that it puts food
on the table. There is a growing number of people in the world that are having
a hard time putting food on the table. Due to the growing number of
unemployment and low wages. Yes, there are many different programs that can
help with the difficulty, though there are no programs out there where the
person can pay about 20 dollars for a hunting permit. With one deer harvested,
that person can get about 80 pounds of meat and here in Ohio anyone with a
permit can harvest 7 deer. If that person harvested 7, they could essentially
have 540 pounds of meat for the low cost of 20 dollars. Though there are some
more cost for the weapon that the hunter uses. If the hunter is using a bow n
arrow a bow can usually cost 100 dollars plus 20 dollars for arrows. That is
now 140 dollars for five hundred and forty pounds of meat for that person's
hungry family. For other expenses we will just round 140 dollars to 200
dollars. If we do the math that comes in as 37 cents on the dollar. That is
extremely affordable due to the fact that beef is at an estimated cost of $4.50
a pound that would come to a total cost of 2,430 dollars if that person got five
hundred and forty pounds of beef. Many people would never be able to afford
that much beef. Yes, many people don’t eat that much of one kind of meat. Though
that’s why there is fisherman. For 15 dollars one can buy a fishing license There
is a limit to the amount of a certain kind of fish that you can catch in a day.
For simple math let's say you can only catch 5 largemouth bass in a day. If you
catch that many fish in a 10-day period that's 50 largemouth bass. You can feed
a family of 5 a dinner with about 5 bass. Though if that person is like me you
don't catch just five largemouth bass you can also catch your limit on small
mouth bass and bluegill and sunfish. Unlike deer fish are easier to process. The
only thing a fisherman would need to have to properly filet a fish is a nice
sharp knife, a cutting board, and a fork. The fork is used to hold the tail of
the fish so that when you are cutting it, it doesn't slip off the cutting board.
